Luxury in Luxembourg
Dags att fortsätta berätta lite om min interrail, och detta inlägg blir om landet vart jag helt i förbifarten for till; Luxemburg! Efter att jag varit i Belgien hade jag sikte mot Schweiz, men tyckte att det sku vara roligt att fara via Luxemburg när jag en gång är på väg mot sydost. För att kort beskriva stället så är det alltså landet i Europa som heter precis samma sak som sin huvudstad, som gränsar till Belgien, Frankrike och Tyskland och är ett väldigt modernt och internationellt land.
Time to tell you a bit more about my interrail, and this post will be about the country I accidentally visited; Luxembourg. After my visit in Belgium I had plans to go to Switzerland, but I thought it would be fun to go trough Luxembourg when I already had my way down southeast. To shortly describe the place, I would say this is the country that has the same name as its capital, which has three neighborcountries (Belgium, France and Germany) and is a really modern and international country.
Blev positivt överrasad över hur fint, rent och trevligt det är i Luxemburg. For alltså in till huvudstaden och vandrade runt där ett par timmar. Ville få en känsla av hur det är där, se lite de typiska turist platserna och också njuta av miljön. Alla hus var verkligen vackra, hade väldigt enhetlig stil och man märker att de verkligen bryr sig om sin stad.
I have to say I was so surprised over how nice, clean and modern Luxembourg is. I visited the capital and spent a few hours there walking around and just enjoy the city. I wanted to get a feeling of how it would be to live there, and also see some of the typical tourits places. Almos all hosues were so beautiful, had a nice style to them and you sure could see that they do care about their city.
Skulle ju ha en selfie från varje land, var supertrött här efter vår utekväll i Bryssel så därför lite påsar under ögonen, haha. Europaflaggan syntes överallt, men blev också förvånad över hur grönt det var i staden. Snygga ståtliga hus blandat med både flod och skog. Mysigt värre sku jag kunna säga!
My mission was to take a selfie in every city I visited, this one I took after our crazy night out in Brussels so that's why the bag are so huge under my eyes, haha. The EU flag could be seen almost everywhere, and I got so surprised about how green it was in the city. I mean beautiful houses combined with a river and so much threes and forest, actually a nice place to be in.
De små detaljerna var verkligen de som gjorde staden så mysig. Inte nog med att det inte låg skräp någonstans, så fanns det fina blomsterarrangemang överallt, fina statyer, flaggor i alla färger och former och också en favoritplats som jag hittade: Ett träd med små hälsningar på franska.
The small details were the ones that really made me like this place. One huge part of me liking this city was how clean it was everywhere, all the flower arrangements and also details like flags everywhere, interesting and beautiful statues and one of my favourites was this three with compliments in french.
Även om jag bara spenderade ett par timmar i Luxemburg så fick jag en bra bild av staden. Alltid är på gång avstånd, vackert, fräsht och trevligt. Folk var väldigt hjälpsamma och de flesta pratade ändå bra engelska. En trevlig stämning och en fin miljö att spendera tid i. Skulle gärna ha besökt något museum eller gjort något roligt där, men kände att jag i så fall kan komma tillbaka dit istället. Tror dock att man inte behöver mer än ett par dagar där, för så pass litet var det nog jämför med de andra städerna jag besökt.
Even though I only spent a few hours in Luxembourg, I felt I got a good vibe of the city. Everything is at walking distance, it is a beautiful, clean and modern city with really nice and helpful people. I would have loved to maybe visit a museum or something like it, but if I want to in the future I can go back and do that. You don't actually need more than just a few days in this city, it is after all pretty small compared to other cities in Europe.
